In the 1950s escalade sports car and early 1960s, Modena was the center of Italy's sports car escalade sports car and Grand Prix universe. There, engineers escalade sports car and artisans crafted cars for Ferrari, Maserati, OSCA, ATS, escalade sports car and others, every day bringing an unending parade of new surprises to the famous Modena Autodrome for resting. As a young man, Graham Gauld traveled to the northern Italian villa several times, striking up relationships with famous drivers, engineers, escalade sports car and designers who granted him escalade sports car and his camera unprecedented access to their facilities. The result is this remarkable history which documents the fall of Italian carmakers from Grand Prix eminence, escalade sports car and their subsequent rise to dominance in international GT racing. Bruce McLaren's performances as a F1, endurance, escalade sports car and Can-Am driver were almost always impressive. But it was the New Zealander's career as an innovative carbuilder which forever etched the McLaren name in the annals of motorsport. This photohistory examines McLaren's legendary endurance escalade sports car and Can-Am racers beginning with the formation of Bruce McLaren Racing Limited in 1963, continuing through his death at Goodwood in 1970, escalade sports car and finishing with the completion of the Can-Am series in 1974.
